Resources

I have some different categories with videos, books and article recommendations that I hope will be of help to you and yours.

Self Care:

Your Self Care Plan is a resource I created that walks you through aspects of taking responsibility for yourself in stressful, painful and difficult situations.  This is aimed at recognizing your capacity to take care of yourself, soothe yourself and ultimately learn what it feels like to be kind to yourself on a consistent basis.

Sark:  Books like Wild Succulent Woman will guide you through some of Sark’s personal journey of reflection, growth and courage.  She is a great companion for those who are growing into greater acceptance of themselves.

Depression

At its worst, depression can be a frightening, debilitating condition. Millions of people around the world live with depression. Many of these individuals and their families are afraid to talk about their struggles, and don’t know where to turn for help. However, depression is largely preventable and treatable. Recognizing depression and seeking help is the first and most critical towards recovery.

In collaboration with WHO to mark World Mental Health Day, writer and illustrator Matthew Johnstone tells the story of overcoming the “black dog of depression”. More information on the book can be found here: http://matthewjohnstone.com.au/
